Peru & Jordan Forge Stronger Trade & Tourism Partnership: A New Era of Collaboration
Lima, Peru – Peru's commitment to expanding its global trade and tourism footprint has taken a significant step forward with a recent high-level meeting between Peruvian and Jordanian officials. Desilu Leon, Peru's Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, engaged in productive discussions with Maen Masadeh, the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Brazil, who is also concurrently accredited to Peru. The meeting focused on bolstering bilateral cooperation across key sectors, promising a new era of strengthened ties between the two nations.
The dialogue centered on identifying opportunities to deepen trade relationships, with a particular emphasis on sectors where both Peru and Jordan possess competitive advantages. “We are incredibly excited about the possibilities of working closely with Jordan to promote tourism between our countries,” stated Minister Leon. “Joint marketing campaigns, exchange programs, and streamlined travel procedures can significantly increase visitor numbers and benefit both our economies.” The discussion explored potential partnerships to facilitate easier travel for tourists, including exploring potential agreements to reduce visa requirements and promote joint tourism packages.
